Experience

Lead IT Architect @ CGG Services SAS

From March 1st 2024

CGG Services is working on selling a new product to external customers, via an internally built Cloud Platform. I’ve been appointed as a Lead IT Architect on this project. Initially I was supposed to be hired as a Senior IT Architect.

In parallel, I’ll also work on automation and cybersecurity designs.

Sys/DevOps @ Gandi SAS

From March 1st 2023 to February 29th 2024

Ops team at Gandi is responsible for the whole infrastructure, including OnCall alerts resolution. It’s a team of 20+ members all with different fields of expertise. I’ve been recruited to provide my extensive general culture and problem-solving skills in order to handle transversal projects, and architecture design.

  • Integration of Debian Bookworm in the internal virtualization stack
  • Refactoring of the whole mail policy stack
  • 2 PB Ceph Cluster setup to backup the whole mail stack (600 TB data)
  • SSH Bastion setup (thanks to OVH‘s work)
  • Some packaging for Debian + Bruteforce prevention system setup
  • Implementation of deleted mail recovery feature for clients
  • Assisting team members in tackling core issues (diving into code and infra)
  • Documentation

System and Network Engineer/Architect @ ANSSI

From September 1st 2018 to February 28th 2023

ANSSI - Agence Nationale de Sécurité des Systèmes d’Information - is one of the directions of the SGDSN - Secrétariat Général de la Défense et de la Sécurité Nationale - the French Prime Minister branch responsible to assist our Prime Minister in the proper execution of his duties regarding Defense and National Security.

It is competent on the field of Cyber Security in general. It is in charge of defending the State Information Systems, but also to provide advice and support to public administrations and to vital operators. It also provides public advice through guides, security advisories and so on.

System and Network Engineer/Architect in the Infrastructure and Support Team

From February 1st 2021 to February 28th 2023

The infrastructure and support Team at ANSSI is a branch of the Operational Department, in charge of providing the operational capacity to ANSSI. This team provides a wide range of services to other teams when it comes to infrastructure, network, on-site projection.

System and Network Engineer/Architect in the IDS Conception Office

From September 1st 2018 to January 31st 2021

The IDS Conception Office is responsible to design and set up IDS for our Public Administration networks.

As the activities involved at ANSSI are in relation with critical infrastructures of the state, it is not possible to disclose any further information regarding what I was doing there.

Technical Officer @ Crans (volunteering)

From 2011 to 2021

Crans or Cr@ns is a French nonprofit association which historically provided an Internet access to 1.250 members based on the student campus of ENS Cachan. They moved to Saclay with the ENS in 2021 and ceased to provide network services on the Cachan’s Campus in 2022. While there, I did, amongst other things :

  • Migrating the virtualization cluster from Xen to Proxmox;
  • Updating and maintaining the LDAP server (OpenLDAP);
  • Harmonizing the Postfix cluster configuration and setting up anti-spam measures (Postscreen);
  • Migrating the NFS server and setting (remote) quotas;
  • Setting up a DHCP server failover;
  • Setting up a new Debian/Ubuntu/BSD mirror, and packaging of custom applications;
  • Replacement of a MSA2012i storage system by a P2000 G3 one;
  • Co-development of the Django intranet software and the python codebase we use to manage our users database and its interaction with network/software components ;
  • Setting up a GitLab instance ;
  • Optimizing PostgreSQL server ;
  • Interactions with our suppliers to renew our servers, switches, and ensure warranty continuation ;
  • Writing of documentation on the association’s wiki.

I still provide technical assistance and advice from time to time.

Debian Developer (volunteering)

Since 2015

  • Maintainer of nm.debian.org;
  • Formerly maintainer of the Debian Tracker, I have sadly not spent any time on it for the past four years;
  • Debian System Administrator since 2022;
  • Enthusiast bug fixer.

Studies

Modelling and Simulation of the Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Microscopic Scale

From October 1st 2014 to December 5th 2018

PhD Thesis in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing.

During the last decades, studies regarding the prospective impact of the alterations at the microscopic scale of the heart tissue in the appearance of arrhythmias (Brugada’s syndrome, atrial fibrilation, early repolarization syndrome…) have been more numerous.

The amount of experimental data regarding the behaviours and regulations that occur at a cellular and a subcellular (gap junctions, role of specific ionic channels) is increasing and these data provide an adapted frame for the computational mathematiciens to develop or improve models and confirm their behaviour.

This thesis was aimed at developping a “microscopic” model taking into account the individual geometry of the cells and the gap junctions between them, to enhance our understanding of the action potential propagation in a network of cells.

Master’s Degree of Applied Mathematics, with a focus on Modelling ans Simulation

From September 1st 2013 to September 15th 2024

Master’s Degree with a high focus on Partial Differential Equations, Functional Analysis, High Performance Computing and applications to other scientific topics (physics, medicine, …).

In 2015, this Master’s Degree changed of name when it got integrated in Université Paris-Saclay Masters program.

Agrégation externe of Mathematics (plus Master’s Degree of Higher Education Teaching of Mathematics).

From September 1st 2012 to July 4th 2013

Master’s Degree of Fundamental Mathematics dedicated to teaching in Higher Education classes.

The goal of this year was to pass the Agrégation Externe of Mathematics, a competition to become a Higher Education Teacher (as all competitions for teaching in France, this one is to become a civil servant, too), and this Master’s Degree was mandatory, as one needs such a Degree to pass the competition.

Skills

I guess this blog will answer to this question. At least partly, because as of today (Jan 29th 2024), it mostly show cooking skills.
