Principle
Custard pastry is a classic French pastry. One can find some in any bakery. It’s simply pastry cream cooked in a pan in the oven, most of the time within a shortcrust pastry.
Ingredients (for 6 folks)
- 1 shortcrust pastry (except if you want a standalone custard pastry without shortcrust)
- Some pastry cream for… 6 folks (surprise!).
Preparation
Preheat the oven at 200°C

Mold the shortcrust pastry in the pan (see this article). Pour the pastry cream in it.
Put the whole in the oven for around 35 minutes. Watch it after the first 20 minutes.
